Hi, it's only been since May that I've posted, so I figure I should get something in here.
I've noticed that I've run into four particular Amtrak locomotives at least twice: P42s #27, #28, and #30, and NPCU #90200. #27 was the lead Genesis that took me to Chicago on September 12th, and I've seen it on the trailing end of another Amtrak, but I don't remember the circumstance. #28 is a locomotive I've seen three times, actually. The first time I ran into #28 is already posted on this blog, when I saw my first NPCU (although, now that I think about it, I think I'd seen one painted in a Cascades paint scheme previously, but it was at night, and I didn't get too much of a glimpse of it). The second time was that it was the trailing locomotive on train 307 when I came back from Chicago on September 12, and I happened to stumble across it a third time on train 305 on my way back from Decatur on October 12th, exactly a month later. #30 I caught, both times, on the trailing end of train 302 on July 20 and July 22. NPCU #90200 was the NPCU on both of those trips. Odd running into the same consist two days apart on the same train... Oh, I think I also ran into the 90222 again while in Chicago. Couldn't see the number, but it was Phase III alright.
